I think many active users implemented it on their own. It is a great idea to make an MvcPersistentTiein component. Did you read http://ezcomponents.org/contributing/dev_process ? You can post a "requirements document" proposal on the mailing list, and wait for feedback while opening your current sources on github or something like that.
