Section 6 in http://lie.math.brocku.ca/twolf/papers/mono.pdf is about chains with a single eye who's status is ko (the original position does not have a ko-forbidden field) and where passing is one of the best moves of both sides.
There also is a position at the end of the paper where the first two! moves are passes.
