But we are human - we like to give feelings and emotions to our
programs!

I think this is a form of compassion - we feel sorry for a program that
puts up a good fight but then it slips away - as if it is somehow 
feeling hurt.

Or you will say,  "my program was embarrassed by that game", as if it
felt shame for being outplayed so much!
