Hi, everyone who lives outside Germany or maybe the Czech Republic may ignore this e-mail ;).
This weekend we are having a tournament in Potsdam, Germany, called the Potsdamer Panda at the Hasso Plattner Institute (www.potsdam-panda.de ... sorry, that there's no English web site). Last year the tournament was centered around computer Go and we planned to hold up this tradition. Magnus Persson wanted to give a presentation as last year, but he had to cancel due to personal reasons. If anybody would be willing to attend our tournament and give a presentation this short-termedly, please let me know. The talk should last 30 to 45 minutes and should be understood by the average Go player, who is interested in the topic, but does not necessarily have any knowledge base. Nevertheless, the talk may focus on one specific aspect of computer Go - like opening databases, MC laziness, dynamic komi or something. The presentation may be given in English or German. Best wishes, Martin Büttner and Tobias Pfeiffer
