I'd like to agree with you from the viewpoint of a computer Go program developer. In the same time, however, I'm also being very surprised by the difference between 4d and 5d. Since I'm a kyu player I'm afraid my understanding is correct, but most bot haters have changed their mind by playing with the 5 dan bot.
