I have owned an Acer 4202 WMLi Laptop since May 2007 (Warranty expired). Recently it has been heating up and then switching off after 0-1 hours. On further inspection, I realized that the fan stops working after 6-10 seconds after the laptop is powered on. What is the reason for this and how can I fix this problem? Is it a problem with the fan or laptop because the fan can spin but stops after a few seconds?
