If the fan spins after boot then stops, it's prbly an issue with the mobo. Temp sensor is out, or the fan controller, both on the system board. I would totally try a new fan in it though. Bearings could be out in it. Does it ever try to spin again? If you hold your ear to the area where the fan is, is it making a grinding noise?
