Be careful backing up you files, you don't want to back up the virus with it. Make a separate folder on the desktop, and make sure you scan (with AVG, Avast, or any reputable antivirus software) each item you drop in the folder. Then copy the folder to an external location, like an external hard drive, thumb drive, or DVD/CD R...
Once you have all your stuff backed up, reinstall your OS. For badly infected systems, it's really the only way to go.
