well you can always unplug one ram chip and take it with you to where ever you are going to get the new RAM from , you just need to make sure from 2 things i think , the max RAM your pc can handle , and in your case i think 2GB isnt even worth checking, its not that much to be worried about, and the BUS speed, you'll get the same speed of the old ones if you take those but i'm just saying this because if your pc can handle a higher speed, it would make a difference to get those new 2 chips with the higher speed, but if not, they'll just work with the speed the pc can handle well im not really that sure but im sharing what i learned from buyin my own RAM chip for my laptop like a month ago.
