during the start up of the device, it would be normal to use 90% and 100% of CPU. while after a while, when it completes all the booting sequence, and all the services are up, if there is an DHCP, or a switch, until the computer gains its IP, the network drives would be disconnected, while when your computer is connected to the network, your mapped drives will reappear again. Hope I did it the right way.
