Have you confirmed that the card is enabed in the BIOS? (press F2 as
first boot) I dont think the C series has a Wireless switch on the
side but it would also be worth checking for this, I know they have on
on the D Series laptops.

It was not standard for the C610's to come with wireless and it was a
optional extra durin the system configuration, Have you had the system
from new or have you just been told that it has wireless?

Do you have an unidentified network device in the control panel?
(start > settings > control panel > system > Hardware > device
manager)

If it has a bluetooth adapter this can show as an unidentified network
addapter within the device manager, so it may be this that you are
seein and not the wireless card.

With regards to opening the system up to locate the wireless card this
should actually not be to much of a problem. I belive its under one of
the rectangle panels on the base of the laptop (possibly along with
the memory) and will be quite small in size (less than hale a credit
card size).

There are deivers on the dell site for your laptop/wireless cards, so
Im not sure why the other poster was unable to locate them.

Free free to send me a screen shot of your device manager to
[email protected] and i will see if I can locate the correct
driver for you.
