Disk Management in Computer ->Manage and re-assign the drive letter. Should be 
ok.

I'm fixing a computer for a friend. HP Pavilion. Drive died, replaced
with same type drive. SATA 250 Gb. After installing XP drive is H: not
C:. Never seen this. I remember when I installed that I selected the
C: drive to install to. How did the OS assign H: instead? How can I
fix???
