This problem almost sounds like a shortage of resouce memory and since it gets progressively worse throughout the day that could mean memory leaks from some application you are using. First thing I would do would be to ensure that ACDSee, Acrobat Reader, etc are at the newest levels (Acrobat Reader is 8.1), Also have you checked to see if your NVidia driver ius at the latest level? I seem to recal an NVidia issue similar to what you are describing. And, what level of DirectX does your windows have (are you at the latest Windows Updates with respect to 'optional' updates?)
