First have you change anything on the computer? deleted any software,
added any software, changed hardware, plugged any peripherals like a
printer or mouse?

Click on Start>Run and type in msconfig. click the startup tab and
disable all. reboot.

If this fixes the problem then it's one of those startup programs.
you can add each program individually (or in groups of 5 or however
you want to do it) and reboot till the problem comes back. whatever
you last added is the problem program.

If it still does it when you disable all startup programs, go back
into msconfig and select the services tab. check the hide all
microsoft services box, then click disable all and reboot. If the
problem is fixed it is one of those services. do the same process as
with the programs to find which it is.

Lemme know how these tests go.
