I think if you don't have the dell driver cd then you can try making
these driver search internet for there latest updated drivers cause by
doing this it eliminates crashing driver search and finds the best
that suits the need.
Regarding second problem as kwikone said there should be some menu in
which you would find register possibly in help or tools.
