some times the recycle bin can be set to delete directly without keeping files in them, this could be what happend, and also could be that u moved them into another directory by mistake without noticing, anyway if they were really deleted i guess u could try recovering the deleted files by any recovery program, i think there was a thread here talking about recovering files, you could try reading it.
