First thing you need to do is remove all power (AC and battery). Next,
remove any
pluggable components (Memory, PCMCIA, CD/DVD drive, etc). Then you can
either let it sit
for about a day (in a warm dry environment) or use a hair dryer to
blow warm dry air
throughout it.
Once it is fully dried out you will need to have an external monitor
to plug in.
Then put the pluggable components and battery back in and see what
happens
when you power it up.

Problems that may/have occurred... Blown display, blown display
adapter,
blown motherboard. And, depending upon what has blown will be the
factor as to your next step.
