Unless you were to dis-assemble then what you are doing is good - it will just take time. Or, you could keep it in a warm dry location any remaining moisture will eventually evaporate. As for residue... This will remain especially since (I suspect) there was cream and sugar in the coffee (be like me - drink it black and no extra residue that is noticeable)
