If you have DSL, get a name brand quality DSL modem, and get a Linksys wireless router or wireless access point. They are designed to stay on all the time without overheating. Be sure to place it in a well ventilated area, and not enclosed in a tight space, so that it will not overheat. Also, keep it placed on a hard flat surface so air can cool underneath it.
