I kinda agree with KwikOne, i don't know what's the difference between
having a server at home, or having a VPS somewhere else, you still get most
of the functions that you need, you aslo get an SSH connection, and i think
that makes it as good as if the server was just next to you, well maybe for
some people it's not as easy to use the command line and they prefer to use
a GUI, but i think cpanel and similar control panels make it easy to handle
most of the tasks without having to enter command line commands, and most
sites now lets you choose your operating system and control panel, and i
think it's more reliable than having my own server, they handle the backups
and of course they have better connections.
of course the final pick is yours but I'm just trying to share what i think
about this.
