Yes, I CAN use webmail.  But I don't want to.

I guess I'm not getting it. I can and often do access my POP3 accounts
via the webmail interface to Comcast.net. This allows me to send and
receive easily. When I get home, the message are still there for
download to my desktop system. Doesn't your ISP provide  webmail
access? I'd be surprised if they don't since Verizon isn't a small mom
and pop service.
