I have no problem renting a modem for a couple of months. Heck, I don't even mind getting a SurfBoard modem (what Comcast left me, so they ought to support it) from somewhere. They're only $40 or so on Ebay. That's only 13 months rent.
What I guess I can use in the mean time is a router so I can put my network back together.
