Searching online is sometimes effective; so are lists.

If you must have a manual, the "Missing Manual" series is very good [using step by step tutorials], and the Dummies guides are pretty good, too. Last time I was at Ollie's Discount Bargain Outlet, there were at least 4 different Dreamweaver books, and they're at a steep discount. Closest to you is Pasadena, Glen Burnout, and Merritt Blvd in Dundalk. Sorry, none closer to DC, but it's not too far. http://www.olliesbargainoutlet.com, http://www.olliesbargainoutlet.com/PrintFlyer1to4.php

Maybe you need to consider a more basic web authoring program than Dreamweaver. It can be almost as user hostile as Quark XPress, and as spectacularly effective, too.

I have found that Google is more effective than any book. The Q&A in the groups is particularly effective.
