Here are some things you can try (assuming you're using Windows XP).
1. Use vfi.exe if available (in Windows XP Service Pack 2 Support Tools
or Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit Tools).
2. Try http://www.karenware.com/powertools/ptdirprn.asp (I haven't used
it but it seems to have a good rep).
3. Try the techniques in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321379.
I've used vfi (ignore the nt error message on running it - you can save
output to a tab-delimited text file) and the command line. For command
line, run cmd, navigate to the top folder, and use dir. You type help
dir for more information. You can pipe dir output to a text file and
you can use dir for subdirectories.
Example of both: dir /S > c:\dirlist.txt
Caveat - I don't how well these work on network drives.
