I have been given a chore. The JROTC department at the local high school has a USB flash drive. Somehow the end (Connector) of the Flash drive has been broken off, and they need to recover the contents of the flash drive. What I have considered doing is opening the Flash Drive, and getting a USB cable, cutting off the B end of it, and soldering the wires directly to the Flash drive to use the A end of the cable to connect it to a computer and transfer the contents of it to a Computer and burn a CD of it. Once that is done, the whole works can be trashed. They will then have the contents, buy a new flash drive and be instructed to BACK IT UP, periodically. I am not looking for discussion of the permanence of a flash drive or stuff like this. Just is my idea feasible or is their an easier way. Stewart Rev. Stewart A.
