The flash drive is from the JROTC department at my sons High School.
All their documents (User created) plus older documents were kept on
this. Also a Outlook mailbox file, Power Point files, Excel files
etc. Favorites list stuff like this. I assume they use the Flash
drive instead of floppies. (Military is funny this way.)
When I was in the National Guard they saved all their documents to
floppies so that they could move from computer to computer. It also
allowed them to be highly susceptible to infections from multiple
floppy users. I remember one AT period when I had to download an
anti-virus program via modem (no high speed yet) and install it on
their system and mine because soldiers had transferred a virus via floppies.
This little incident taught me a couple of things.
My hands are not as steady as they used to be. I need a hobby stand
with clips and a magnifying glass. The Cold Heat solder tool is a
great concept and works fantastically (allows soldering without a lot
of heat generation.)
I don't charge nearly enough! :-)
