How come a consumer cannot seem to be able to buy just a couple of
DVD-RWs? Why do I have to buy a 10-pack? Who needs 10 rewritables?
Is this the "Costcoization" of the marketplace? Everything like this
in bulk?

We have a DVD recorder that's connected to our satellite receiver, and
to a VCR. It records anything we want to view later. If it's worth keeping, we
transfer to DVD-R. There's usually 5 or 6 disks in use at a time,
meaning that they're on the shelf waiting for viewing. I'd rather use
the DVD-RW instead of a DVR. It's much easier to save to disk. They're
very reliable.

Most disks have been reused over 20 times so far with no glitches.
Brand is Maxell, made in Japan. Success and reliability of DVD-RW depends
on the quality of the disks you use.
