Sometimes those cameras produce odd video that won't work with normal tools. Can you import and edit the video in eg Windows Movie Maker?
If so, just output a .wmv file(s) around 256kbps. That's probably the best you can do. The clips still won't be small enough to email, so you'll need a place to post them. Many free servers exist (with limitations) like YouTube. But be aware that many will re-encode your video (eg YouTube still re-encodes to Flash 7 (yuck)). On 7/9/07, db <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
I have a digital point and shoot camera which also takes video with sound. Sometimes the amateur video bits I shoot exceed the 100mb size limit imposed by most online photo/video sharing sites. My XP computer has Windows Movie Maker software and I am guessing it might be a good tool for splitting my 100mb + videos into smaller A and B clips that I can post separately. Does this sound like a good solution or can someone suggest something better? (another editing or compression tool...?)
