Nope. Not hyperbole, unfortunately.
That is what many people we met overseas have told us as we traveled the
past few years, including last week, again. I hadn't seriously
considered that the admin was moving toward fascism until it was pointed
out to us by people who lived under those conditions [Germany,
Yugoslavia, etc.], i.e. secrecy, censorship, internal spying, dubious
arrests, rendition, corporate interference/control. Not realizing the
situation puts us in more danger.
The RFID passport is another intrusion into our privacy. Block it--get
rid of it with legislation. Passports sure are expensive. The chips and
readers and analysts add to the expense.
Maybe sandwiching a couple of thin refrigerator magnets on either side
of the front passport cover will block the chip.
