Well, the other side of this is that their prices seem significantly lower
than others I've seen, so if this is accurate, for people like myself,
without much money, it's very tempting to go the el cheapo way, which this
apparently is. So if you or anyone else knows of better alternatives that
are not much more money, I'm, as Ross Perot used to say, "all ears." BTW,
GoDaddy was recommended by a few people, including the presenter I recently
went to in a workshop on using websites to develop and enhance businesses.
I especially was drawn in to the plan that allows one to host an unlimited
number of sites with them ( though overall disk space is the same), on one
domain name, since I've been thinking of several different sites for
different purposes. So for now, I just better be mindful about their trying
to sell me everything else under the fast-setting sun.

luckily (in this senses, at least) I have no money to spend on all of
those
temptations! So just got one domain name originally (now 2) and one month
of hosting service for about $7 for the month.
You did good!
GoDaddy will now follow up with emails and maybe even a phone call trying
to scare you into buying additional services. That is why I don't like
GoDaddy.
