I picked up a new Acer 19" widescreen LCD this weekend at a great price
($100 after rebates), but was disappointed with the clarity of the
display when compared to my "came-with-the computer" Compaq CRT. The
small type looks jagged in comparison plus it's not as sharp, despite
going through all of the adjustments. While I could get it to look
somewhat better by increasing the resolution to 1280x1024, the image was
to small for my "mature" eyes. Is this typical of LCD's in general and
is there one out there that competes in clarity and sharpness with a
CRT? This is my first experience with a LCD at home so I don't know if
I'm expecting too much. In the meantime, this one is going back to the
