I beg to differ with you Tom.
The analog Onstar vehicles are old vehicles.
I am not sure when GM knew that analog was going to be discontinued,
but I do know they did notify everyone about the shut down of the old
analog Onstar systems. All newer vehicles have a digital Onstar system.
That does not make it better, and there should be a fix for it.
There are still (Or should I say there were still) a number of folks
out there that had old analog cell phones that every Cell carrier has
been trying to get to upgrade their phone.
But you know how stubborn some folks can be!!!!

I bet they are still selling analog units and will continue to do so as
long as there are stupid customers.
GM was still selling analog OnStar last year even though everyone knew
analog was due for shutdown in 2008.
