It all depends, on how they have the restore functions et.

Many of them have a drive image on the restore portion that simply writes a new image of the already installed system.

Others like Dell give you a full fledged install disc. You then pick and choose.

Because they aren't installed, they don't show up in the Add/Remove Software window. For instance, I don't want to have to install Norton Antivirus in order to delete it. FYI, Norton shows up in the D drive which is the protected restore files are. I'd rather not allow it to get it embedded inside the computer that it already is. Is there a way to delete programs which haven't been installed?
