> The man backs and praises the narco-thugs of FARC. He threatened war
> because Columbia took out a FARC base in Ecuador. He praises Castro
> and the nut president of Iran. Sounds looney toons to me.

Please ignore the propaganda. When Colombia attacks neighboring Ecuador and Venezuela must prepare to deal with it, so naturally it's cause for concern for Chávez. The political factions in those countries are multi-leveled with more of an economic divide than anything else. President Ahmadi Nejad is a puppet with no power; he's a distraction from the ayatollahs behind the curtain. My dad grew up in Cuba. Before Castro, average Cubans were much worse off than now, but they still suffer as much from the embargo as from Castro. Castro was really bad, but the US made him much worse by inflating his image/power. He's stepped down, but he's still a puppet-master.

I've been waiting for years to visit Cuba, but all I can do is read about it, look at photos, see the travel deals from European and Mexican web sites, and hope that the embargo is lifted, after 30+ years of its failure to weaken Castro. I've bookmarked travel sites so I'll be ready to go.
