I suggest going to www.ubcd4win.com to get the fixings for a boot CD 
(that's "disc" withe "c") with several antivirus and anti spyware 
programs. Use it to build a disk image and update to the latest 
definition files. Then burn a boot CD.

Testing your computer while booted from an OS on the CD allows for better 
testing because the malware you are searching for won't be running so 
can't use various tricks to hide.
