Brian Krebs posted a list of patches on his blog (http://blog.washingtonpost.com/securityfix/) yesterday: "Security Fix Pop Quiz, Spring 2008 Edition." He mentions Secunia (I've used it), which scans a (Windows) system to find software that needs to be updated, including both Windows and applications. Questions:

1. For Windows, are there other update/patch scanners to consider? The Secunia Personal Software Inspector is free. Shavlik has a free trial. 2. For Mac OS X, are there any similar products or services for scanning a computer to find software that needs to be updated?

Thanks.
