Perhaps the machine itself is at fault and not Firefox?

What debugging steps have you done - besides uninstalling/reinstalling?

I run and support it on a variety of machines. If these are Windows systems,
have you checked for the latest and greatest Windows updates? That seems to
resolve about 98% of system related problems.

Quite often, uninstalling/reinstalling doesn't do much, except take some time.

As others have suggested in some other thread, how about creating a new
profile?

Subject: Re: [CGUYS] Adobe Reader/ Firefox conflict?

Although I haven't experienced your problem, I have found firefox to be
problematic on various machines. Particularly in older installations or
older computers. It just loses functions. Often re installation doesn't
help.
