It was suggested here that slow-running FireFox might be caused by too many profiles and that I should create a new one and delete the others. Can't see how to save and transfer the information from the old profiles (specifically saved websites and passwords) to the new profile. Seems there should be a simple, if not automatic, way to do this, given that one may wish to create various profiles without recreating everything else from scratch. Is there such a way?
Also, thought sites were loading slowly due to FireFox, because seem to load somewhat faster using IE. But computer takes forever to boot up, so wondering if there is another reason or reasons for slow booting and slow loading. I still think at this point computers should be able to note such things on their own, e.g. slow or changed loading speeds, and offer possible solutions. But in the meantime, sure glad we have this resource.
