Like Tony, this choice seems a bit odd to me--it's sort of like saying, in order to do X you will need either a garden hose or a microwave oven. In any event, I would definitely go with Firefox over iTunes. My experience with iTunes has been absolutely horrible. If I were to compile a Top Ten list of the worst software I've ever used, iTunes would be right up near the top. Firefox, on the other hand, is solid; and it won't interfere with your use of IE as long as you don't make it the default browser.
