You know, that's interesting. I had DSL for several years before switching to Comcast. But your email just reminded me of this. It happened a lot with DSL (up here via Frontiernet), but it never happens with cable. Maybe the phone lines just have some sort of twitchy surge protectors that the cable lacks.
