Again, an overstatement (the original, not your reply). Most legacy apps run fine. As I've mentioned before, I am running MOSTLY legacy apps here, including some DOS programs that I wrote 25+ years ago. For the most part, the ones that have problems are those that try to do something that Vista no longer permits for security reasons. And Vista bends over backwards to accommodate even those. E.g., you can't write to Program Files any more, but a lot of old programs try to.
