I have two inexpensive 5MP cameras. One a Kodak, one a no name.
I am the club secretary for the local Kiwanis club and take pictures of our speakers each week. Took some with the no name and then some with the Kodak and the Kodak's are always superior.

MP is not a good indicator of quality. I have a 2MP with a good lens that takes fine pictures that print well up to 8x10. The pictures I took with a 5MP with a crummy lens are a disappointment.
