When they introduced the iPhone, I thought it would be the Mac of the
cell phones. I thought that it would have a small percentage of the
market, but would set the standard and push innovation. This appears to
be happening (market share is a little larger than I expected).
I also thought that Apple TV would be the next iPod, so I guess I'm
batting .500

out with a new phone shortly on the Verizon network. It is called the
Blackberry Storm (I think) and it is a touch phone style phone. It
does have buttons on the bottom but not much more is known. OH and it
does the 3G network.
Of all the Iphone competitors out there this might be a worthy adversary.
RIM already has the lions share of smartphones out there.
We will have to see.
