I've got a user who is getting a new PC. His old system was Windows 2000 with Office 2000.
He's got an Access database written by an outside vendor - that as far as we can tell - no longer exists. It uses the MS Access Runtime 2000, but the database has been around since 2001. His new system is Windows XP running Office 2007. This is the command sequence from the icon to run the database: "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Microsoft Access Runtime\msaccess.exe" /runtime /wrkgrp "C:\Incident.Ora\SYSTEM.MDA" "C:\Incident.Ora\Incident.mdb" I tried the MS Access Runtime 2007 but couldn't get too far with that. I installed the MS Access Runtime 2000 and can get the app to start and I can try to login but then I get an error of: "The current user account doesn't have permissions to covert or enable this database". >From looking online, most of the solutions I can find say to start the d/b in the old version of Access and then convert it to the new version. Except I don't have the software from the old versions of Access. MS Office 2000 is the oldest we have here as the older stuff is no longer here. Any suggestions or ideas? Thanks, Larry ************************************************************************* ** List info, subscription management, list rules, archives, privacy ** ** policy, calmness, a member map, and more at http://www.cguys.org/ ** *************************************************************************
