Nope. The mdb isn't corrupted. I can take the file on his new system, put it back on his old system and it works.
I think the error is a bit of a red herring. When you say "Open the shortcut" do you mean double clicking it? If so, yes I am. If I just go into MS Access 2007 (or Access 2000), and try to open the .mdb, I get the same error - the one about not having necessary permissions. I think one reason I can't just open the .mdb by itself is I need to do something with the .mdw file too. This was (from what I can tell) originally sent out with Access Runtime so recipients of the program didn't have to have Access installed.
