To be specific the 15 inch MacBook Pro only has one Firewire 800 port.
You have to buy the 17 inch to get one Firewire 400 and one Firewire 800
port. This raises the question: Is there any way to make a Firewire
400 device/cable compatible with a Firewire 800 port?
