If they aren't charging a premium for 64 vs. 32, I'd go with 64; it's
the future.
The Core 2 processors can indeed run 32-bit Windows (or Linux)... if
you do want to go with 64-bit Windows, though, you may be able to find
new 64-bit versions of the drivers for your peripherals on the
manufacturers websites. A 64-bit OS is particularly helpful if you plan
to add 4GB or more RAM to your computer.
