For Windows, I'd recommend a test drive with Wubi. BUT: Be sure to back up everything first: had 1 bad experience and 2 trouble-free using this installer. I would Google Ubuntu and the PowerBook model for the experiences of others.

My guess is there will be no problem, but each type of computer has its own
possible issues.
