Get friendly with a neighbor not too far away who has cable ...make a deal with them to share the internet connection and cost ...put it in writing as a little contract in case you shoot their dog or something ...what you are doing is getting a wifi router and hooking into their cable ...if their speed is slow, offer to pay for the higher speed so everything works without problems ...smart, eh?

I am looking at a place to move to out in the country. No cable or DSL is available at the location I am interested in. However, Comcast is running cable into all the new developments in and around the area. They just won't provide feeds to many of the older, more established residences. If you happen to live right on a main road you can likely get cable. If you live down any of the side roads that intersect with the main road, you are SOL for cable, unless you live in a new development wherein houses are clustered tightly together and the residents live a__hole to elbow together. It's all about the money.
