It may be that the software isn't compatible with either Vista and/or a 64-bit OS. While it *shouldn't* matter, it often does. I didn't even want to think about trying Adobe CS until Adobe said it would work in a 64-bit environment. Supposedly it does in CS4. The ding in this case is that you need to enable and unhide the admin account for a default install of Vista.
